Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (B.A.C.A.) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. The organization is a body of bikers who seek to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. Working in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children, B.A.C.A. members stand ready to lend support to child victims by involving them with an established, united organization.
There are three Chapters of B.A.C.A. in South Dakota: Black Hills Chapter in the Pennington County area, Great Plains Chapter in the Lincoln/Minnehaha County area, and Oahe Chapter in the Hughes County area. Each chapter works approximately a 100-mile radius in SD. Both the Central SD Child Assessment Center in Pierre and Child’s Voice Center in Sioux Falls have had B.A.C.A. volunteers participate in child abuse awareness projects in their local communities.
